My 3 Girls M on Easter

Happy Easter!

Today is Easter, so expect some photos of the 3 M girls in their easter outfits later today after church. Yesterday we went to Betsy's parents for an easter egg hunt and the girls were very excited to go running through the yard looking for candy. Also there was Charnie, Dawson and Chloe. We got some video of Chloe hunting for eggs, though it really wasn't much hunting, but more following instructions.

K-BLOG - Animal Cruelty NEEDS to be Stopped

K-BLOG

Just a little message for all you animal cruelty people...

STOP ANIMAL TESTING!!!!

In school we had debates. Two sides: one FOR animal testing, and one AGAINST animal testing. I was on the AGAINST team, and we won by a landslide. Only ONE out of 27 people thought animal testing is right. And he only said that because he has a dog that does nothing. Nice point!
DON'T by dogs from Jacks Aquarium and Pets, their from PUPPY MILLS!!!! >: (
For you who don't know what puppy mills are, they are horrible places with cheap dirty cages for the little puppies. The dogs aren't fed, they're unhealthy, and their owner(s) just care about MONEY. Would you like to be shoved in a tiny cage with lots of other people, never fed, and about to die? That's exactly what I thought.

So SAY NO TO PUPPY MILLS, ANIMAL TESTING, AND ALL OTHER CRUELTY TO ANIMALS!

P.S. When I grow up, I want to be a Animal Cruelty Lawyer. So watch out, people! Kenzie's coming to town!

K-BLOG - Re. "White Death"

K-BLOG

Hi! This is Kenzie in the K-Blog. By the way, when we had "White Death", I walked a couple of houses down the street, and my legs were dead. Well, at least they felt dead. But the WORST part was coming back up the street. The snow was blowing in my direction, so I had snow in my face. When I FINALLY got home, I was crying because my face was so cold. And not only that, but my birthday party was canceled that day, too. Thanks to the snow. I had EVERYTHING planned for my sleepover party, but the snow ruined it. I wanted that day to go perfectly, but of course it didn't. Oh, and my way back to my house, this man yelled at me because I was knocking over the snow. HELLO! My legs are dead and I'm miserable, so thanks ALOT! Well, obviously I had a terrible day that day. Thank you for reading my sadness.

K-BLOG - Feisty

K-BLOG

This is my dog Fiesty! Isn't she soooo cute? We have more pictures, and I'll eventually put 'em all on here. She has TONS of nicknames. For examples: Fi Fi, Fi, Puppy, Puppy Girl, and many many more. This picture in particular is of her in her Elf hat. I don't think she likes it a whole bunch though...

K-BLOG - Hello There!

K-BLOG

Hi! This is me at the K-BLOG! I am Gumbo Boy's oldest daughter, Kenzie! So, since this is my first blog, I just wanted to introduce myself a little bit. I know this isn't much, but I am SO not the fastest typer in the world. Check back soon for more of the K-BLOG!

Maddie's New Desk

Last week while I was in Georgia a trip was made to IKEA to purchase a new desk for Madeleine. To you or I that may be seemed to just be another errand to run and get done, but to Madeleine this was a very important day. So important that after the desk was assembled and placed in her room she spent many hours sitting there in amazement.

More amazing was the fact that the next morning Madeleine actually arranged to wake up early so she could sit at her desk some more. So before she went to school Betsy found here there sitting and looking out her window smiling as happy as she could be.

Mackenzie's Birthday (Official)

It was officially Mackenzie's birthday today. She had her party with her friend's last week and this week the party with the family. Nothing spectacular, just the wife, kids and her grandpa. The highlight of the evening for Mackenzie was the iPod Nano she received as a gift. A very happy girl after that.

Madeleine's Last Basketball Game

First, while I was not home today to enjoy it, Maddie's last basketball game of the season was today. She was VERY excited to get a trophy at the end of the season and thought it was absolutely the coolest thing in the world. For her first season in basketball she had a good time and learned a lot. Hopefully she will continue to enjoy it and want to continue in the sport into next year. Betsy reported that she did very well in the first quarter of the game, but didn't seem quite as interested in the second quarter. I think I will need to get her to run some more gassers to build up the endurance to last all game.

The coaches and the program in Mason was very supportive. Everyone worked hard to make sure each girl was involved in every game and practice and took the time to work with girls that were behind the others from a skills perspective. This helped Maddie since this was her first attempt.

Betsy's Birthday & IKEA Opens

Today is Betsy's birthday - wishing her a happy birthday from a distance. Even though I am not there in person I am relatively sure that she will be OK with out me. IKEA opened yesterday and I am pretty sure she will be there again today. She has been reading up on the events that occur during the IKEA opening and is opening to have a part in the madness.

3 Girls M Shake Their Booty

Was playing around with iTunes tonight and started playing some old disco tunes. The girls started to get into it and dancing to the beat. Over time it developed into what you see here as videotaped by Betsy as I was playing songs...

Mackenzie's Friend Birthday Party

Although it was only a day late, Mackenzie's birthday party FINALLY went today. She had originally planned to have four girls sleepover after going to a movie, but settled on having them all over for a movie and then games and a cookie cake at the house.

The girls had a good time seeing College Road Trip and the cookie cake was spectacular, as always.

White Death & Mackenzie's Party Postponed

Had hoped to get outside for a nice ride this morning followed by preparation for Mackenzie's big 11th birthday party. HOWEVER, Mother Nature had alternative plans for the day. Starting Friday night and eventually ending sometime on Saturday we got 12 inches of snow. All the plans for the day were cancelled and/or postponed until further notice.

Later in the day Mackenzie got outside with Feisty and played in the snow. The other girls also came out and there were many snow angels spread throughout the yard.
